Jonas Müller

Born: Bornholm, Denmark 1975

I started playing classical piano when I was 9 years old but quickly moved to other musical territories such as Jazz, World Music and Popular Music.

I came to jazz in my early teens where the legendary jazz pianist Horace Parlan was my mentor and role model.

I studied piano at the Conservatory of Rhythmic Music in Copenhagen and later studied composition at Mills College in California USA and have additionally obtained a Master's degree in musicology from Copenhagen University.

I have played and toured with a very diverse group of people ranging from hard-bop veterans Bob Rockwell and Eric Alexander to free jazz guru John Tchicai and I've been deeply involved with the vibrant and ethnically diverse World Music scene in France.

I have been residing in Berlin the last 9 years where I have been a member of Django Lassi, Tango Finlandes and many other projects performing all over Europe and the Middle East.
