Our Mentoring Programme
Our Mentoring Programme
On the initiative of the IMT, the student mentoring programme was launched in the winter semester 2015/2016 in cooperation with the Learning Centre. Since then, 75 mentors have accompanied a total of over 900 mentees through their first year of study. But what is the mentoring programme?
Mentors are experienced students who provide advice and support to a group of 20 first-year students (mentees) in their first year of study. In regular small group meetings, individual questions can be clarified and tips on study organisation and exam preparation can be exchanged. To ensure that the fun of studying is not neglected, the mentors also organise group-wide activities such as bowling or a city tour with the Kivelingen, which strengthen the networking of different semesters and degree programs.
So our first-semester students have the ideal accompaniment for the start of their studies!
And so that our students in the higher semesters can also benefit from the mentoring programme, we are currently developing a career-related mentoring programme.
Curious now? More information on the mentoring programme can be found in the Ersti-Guide. By the way, all applicants receive this guide from their mentors before the start of their studies to make the start of their studies easier.
