The Konrad Adenauer Foundation awards merit scholarships to international students who study a full master's program at a German university.

The scholarships of the Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung are only aimed at Master's students. A good to very good grade average and socio-political commitment within or outside the University are important for obtaining a scholarship. Candidates must already be in Germany.

The Heinrich B?ll Stiftung scholarships are only awarded to Master's students, in particular, from Eastern Europe and CIS countries. Students must already reside in Germany at the time of the application. In order to receive a scholarship, the applicant must have above-average grades and a German level of B2. The application is only possible online and should be done in during the first semester.

The project Hochform of the Otto Benecke foundation only grants scholarships to refugees who are enrolled as master students here in Germany. In order to apply you have to meet the following requirements:

• You are a refugee with a valid residence permit
• You have obtained your first university degree (Bachelor) outside of Germany
• Knowledge of German (C1-Level)

The Rosa Luxemburg Foundation only awards scholarships to Master's students. Above-average grades, very good knowledge of the German language and proof of social political engagement are required to receive a scholarship. In addition the candidate must already reside in Germany.

The Studienstiftung Sponsors students from EU countries who study their entire study program at a German university. Information on the scholarship program is available in German.

Bachelor's and Master's students of music-related courses can apply for a scholarship from the Cusanuswerk (website in German). The application should be submitted by the first semester and applicants must already reside in Germany. The scholarships are awarded according to above-average school and university academic achievements and for students who are practicing Christians.

Scholarships from the Catholic Academic Exchange Service (KAAD) are aimed at Master's students from developing or emerging countries from Africa, Asia, the Middle East or Latin America. Good knowledge of German as well as religious and social commitment are valued in the selection of scholarship holders.

Students from Africa, Asia or Latin America who are planning a vocational preparatory internship or study abroad, may apply for a scholarship of the study program for accompanying foreign students at universities in Lower Saxony (STUBE). The program assumes the travel expenses for internships and student stays in the home country of the scholarship recipients. A prerequisite for obtaining the scholarship is that the applicants have not been at home during the past 20 to 24 months.

The Center for International Migration and Development (CIM) helps with the hiring of specialist and senior executives by employers worldwide. Also, the scholarship holders are supported when they return home after graduation.
