Features of the degree program Physiotherapy
The bachelor's degree program in Physiotherapy is an English-language full-time degree program with an international orientation and is aimed at graduates of vocational schools in physiotherapy who have acquired a therapeutic-practical qualification by completing the state examination, as well as international students at a comparable level. The vocational training is credited towards the first three semesters.
Based on the knowledge and therapeutic skills acquired in German training or at foreign universities/colleges, the course is intended to gradually enable independent and scientifically reflective therapeutic action. In particular, the course is intended to enable people to critically question the applied theoretical principles as well as therapeutic skills and routines learned during training with the help of scientific skills, to discuss them in intra- and interprofessional exchange on the basis of current scientific findings and to adapt to changing requirements and questions health system, such as proof of effectiveness of therapeutic care.
The B.Sc. degree does not include professional approval for foreign students in Germany. The Lower Saxony Ministry of Social Affairs is responsible for checking professional approval in Germany. Further information on professional admission for foreign students can be requested from the program director or the course coordinator.
