Open Space Planning (B.Eng.)
Program structure
Structure of the program
A study structure for the individual design of the degree program:
The course is made up of three module types, the compulsory modules (P), the compulsory elective modules (WP) and the freely elective modules (FWP). If a module is passed, credit points will be credited. At least 180 credit points must be completed according to the semester overview to complete the degree program successfully.
Compulsory modules (P)
The compulsory modules form the thematic framework of the degree program. These modules must be completed by all students in the Open Space Planning degree program. They include the topics ?Design - City - Country - Technology - Plants? and offer a thematic introduction to the Open Space Planning. The compulsory modules each have 5 to 20 credit points.
Compulsory elective modules (WP)
The framework of compulsory modules can be individually filled with compulsory elective modules. The compulsory elective modules are divided into two catalogs -?Knowledge and skills? and ?Projects?. Electives can be selected from these catalogs. The compulsory elective modules have 5 credit points each.
Freely elective modules (FWP)
The freely elective modules are not selected from a catalog. Instead there is the possibility to attend modules at the entire University of Applied Sciences or at other universities, which technically fit into the degree program. (If modules are selected which are not offered at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, you are asked to consult with the Office of the University Registrar). A maximum of 5 credits are applied.
Customize the degree program
The high proportion of compulsory elective modules allow students of the Open Space Planning to customize their degree program. Thus, for example, the option of going in-depth in the contents of the topics ?Design - City - Country - Plants - Technology” is possible.
To orient to the choice of modules, both compulsory and compulsory elective modules are associated with the five subject areas. In addition, an information and election event on the compulsory elective modules is organized once a semester.
If there are still questions, a meeting with the Academic Advisor is recommended.
