Music Education (B.A.) – Classical Music
Bachelor of Arts
Features of the degree program Music Education – Classical Music
Students in this bachelor's degree program can study either an instrument, voice/singing with children, composition or music theory/aural training for their artistic major. The artistic education represents a cornerstone and is rounded off through by supplementary subjects such as another instrument and through orchestral, ensemble and chamber music lessons.
With the music pedagogical education, the degree program emphasizes the second focus. The imparting of vocal and instrumental proficiency in subsequent professional life represents special challenges that are learned in lectures, seminars and many practical projects.
Graduates are offered a contemporary degree program oriented to the labor market under close consideration of social developments and sound music-pedagogical skills. Special features, for example, include the teaching certificate in the instruction of classroom music or training in composition pedagogy.
