Structure of the program
The standard period of study of the modularly-structured Mechanical Engineering Bachelor's degree program is six semesters.
In each of the five semesters, six modules are to be completed. They are each credited at five credit points. (Exception: modules Fundamentals of Mathematics and Mathematics for Mechanical Engineering with 7,5 credits and module Orientation and Methods with five credits over two semesters).
The degree program is divided into general basic studies in the first semesters, in which the mathematical-scientific and engineering fundamentals are taught. Modules for the teaching of engineering applications as well as the deepening modules are offered in the higher semesters. The program is completed by elective modules and a project with 10 credit points.

- Manufacturing Engineering
The fifth semester can be used as a "mobility semester": As an alternative to the regular programme, it is possible to study abroad. (With two variations: Integrated semester abroad or European Project Semester (EPS).
In the final semester, the applied scientific project as well as and the Bachelor thesis are completed with 15 credits each.
For the Bachelor of Science degree in the Mechanical Engineering Bachelor degree program, 180 credit points must be completed.
