Features of the degree program
Students in the degree program Materials Engineering deal with the entire chain from the development to the application of materials. This includes production, processing, testing, selection, and quality assurance as well as technical sales and service.
The objective of the degree program is the acquisition of knowledge and skills related to the properties and application possibilities of the basic materials groups of metals, ceramics, and polymers. In addition to expert competencies related to the profession, students learn problem-solving and application methods and deepen their methodical and analytical knowledge and abilities in internships.
Materials specialists are in high demand in a wide variety of sectors of the production and manufacturing industry.
