Bioengineering in Agriculture and Food Industries (B.Sc.)

Program overview

Degree title, German: Bioverfahrenstechnik in Agrar- und Lebensmittelwirtschaft

Semesterfee: 330 Euro per semester (e.g. for the public transportation ticket)

Application deadline: July 15 of the respective year (different deadlines for applicants with foreign university entry qualifications, for details please refer to application deadlines with uni-assist)

Entrance requirements: General higher education entrance qualification, subject-related entrance qualification, advanced technical college entrance qualification or completed preparatory training determined to be equivalent by the competent ministry or a master's certificate or completed training course as a certified technician

Vocational placement / practical phase of studies: In the 6th semester: practical work project in combination with the final thesis

Core competencies: Graduates of the study program:

Have thorough knowledge of biologically oriented technological aspects of production and treatment processes in the agro-food industry

Are able to handle applied scientific problems in their field by applying and adapting scientifically established approaches

Are competent in the assessment, presentation, and target-group-based communication of sustainable technical solutions

Are experts in system-based networking solutions with excellent language skills (English)

Specialization options: Starting in the 4th semester, specialization in two profiles is offered:

- Biomass utilization
- Process plants
