Brief description

In the practical semester, there is a direct application of the knowledge acquired in the course of study in the study and application in professional practice in an organizational unit outside the university.

Knowledge Broadening

Students know how to work on a task from professional practice in a methodically structured manner within a given time frame. The result is presented in a clear and structured manner and implemented where possible.

Knowledge deepening

Students can quickly familiarize themselves with a new practical professional task and independently deepen their knowledge in a specific area.

Knowledge Understanding

Students apply theoretically acquired knowledge, the tools and methods taught in the course of study to tasks in business and scientific practice.

Application and Transfer

Students decide which procedures are useful for their work and verify the knowledge they have acquired on the basis of the given task. They analyze and evaluate solutions and present them in an overall context. They work out concrete results and interpret the experiences for future tasks.

Academic Innovation

Students analyze the basic tasks of their activity and derive research questions. They develop scientific approaches to solve them and operationalize the steps in the context of the activity. They reflect on aspects of their scientific occupation.

Communication and Cooperation

Students discuss the tasks with other subject representatives. They cooperate with the relevant stakeholders and develop solution concepts in collaboration with these stakeholders. In communication with the stakeholders, they generate solutions.

Academic Self-Conception / Professionalism

Students develop a professional self-image that is oriented towards goals and standards of professional action within the companies and organizations in which the internship semester takes place. They reflect on their role in the personnel structure and learn about the limits of their abilities and competencies.
