Germany scholarship program ("Deutschlandstipendium")

Since 2011, the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences has been successfully awarding the Deutschlandstipendium to its students. The Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences raises 150 euros per month from funding entities for a scholarship. These can be companies, associations, clubs and other non-governmental organizations, as well as individual persons. This amount is matched by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). This means that the university can award 300 euros per month per scholarship recipient as a scholarship. This amount is awarded for the winter semester with a term of one year, so students enjoy total funding of 3,600 euros.

However, the Deutschlandstipendium includes not only this funding, but also intellectual support as well. This can be individually agreed between the funding entity and its scholarship recipients, and may include, for instance, internships, thesis, company tours, or mentoring.

It provides a good overview of their diverse reasons that motivate companies, foundations and rotary clubs to be part of the network with students and the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences that has grown over many years.

It also provides information on funding organizations, reports and statistics, pictures from past awards ceremonies and statements from scholarship recipients expressing their thankfulness at having their performance and volunteering work recognized and honored.
