Competence centers at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences
The Research Center for Energy Management Energy Law (fee) (website only available in German) is an interdisciplinary research center of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, where selected research projects in the fields of energy management and energy law are initiated and be carried out.
Sustainability in the construction and real estate industry is more than just the usual certification of buildings. The aim of the institute is to improve the economic environment and the success of the construction and real estate industry with the help of sustainability aspects and to set future trends within the framework of the project development, construction management and real estate management.
In addition, consulting, research and development services, seminars and as well as appraisals in the construction and real estate management field are offered. These include, for example, aspects of accounting and controlling incl. investment and financing, the organization and the management as well as marketing in companies and institutions of the construction and real estate industry.
The Institute for Landscaping, Sports Grounds and Parks (ILOS) (website only available in German) is a facility of the Science to Business GmbH - Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. The ILOS bundles the activities of landscaping and establishes a technology and knowledge transfer.
Companies, planners and public administrations are in a process of change and steady competition. To be successful, individual benefits are to be identified and used. Tasks which do not occur everyday are to be solved and far-reaching decisions made. For this purpose, sound and specific solutions are to be developed.
The ILOS provides consultancy, research and development services as well as training and seminars in the following areas:
- Open-space management
- Management of sports open area facilities
- Construction operation
- Construction and vegetation technology
and is thus a strong partner to cope with these challenges.
The COALA Competence center (website only available in German) is an open research platform for professors, staff members and employees and students of various Master's courses within the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. COALA combines the skills of several faculties and areas of expertise. COALA is a partner for flexible and interdisciplinary research in agricultural technology.
The Competence Center for Electronics and Drive Technology (KEA) (website only available in German) performs the tasks of a research institution as well as those of an engineering office. At the same time, KEA benefits from the special proximity to the university. KEA aims to develop new technologies and skills together with companies from the region.
The Energy Competence Center (website only available in German) supports research, teaching and practical experience in the field of "Energy". It aims to develop and promote innovative technological solutions and the appropriate infrastructure.
Combining tasks, merging skills, building on strengths--these were the motivations which led to the founding of the Competence Center for Lightweight Construction, Drive Technology and Durability, (L | A | (B) (website only available in German). The Competence Center L | A | B combines the classic cross-section technologies of Mechanical Engineering.
The Competence Center for Public Management (website only available in German) was founded with the aim of supporting public authorities and companies with scientific expertise through consulting and qualification training in the field of administrative management by professors of the profile "Public management/Public administration" of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences.
LOGIS.NET (website only available in German) is the competence center for transport and logistics of the regional innovation strategy Weser EMS (RIS) of Weser EMS region in association with six other competence centers. The task of the LOGIS.NET is to support and promote logistics companies, forwarders and in particular, small and medium-sized companies and municipal facilities in the region in the field of transport and logistics.
The Lower Saxony Data Protection Center (NDZ) (website only available in German) is an interdisciplinary research institution of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. The aim is to develop science-based solutions in the areas of data protection and data security, and to provide it for practical use. In addition, the NDZ supports decision-making through the expert advice of authorities and legislative bodies.
