Students and lecturers gain insight into living and studying in Osnabrück

(Osnabrück, 24th March 2016) Business psychology students at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences extended a warm welcome to their guests from Northern Ireland with a tasty breakfast in the Caprivi Lounge. Nine students, accompanied by two lecturers from the University of Ulster (Northern Ireland), undertook a one-week visit to Germany to discover more about living and studying here. A particular focus of the visit was therefore on Business Psychology and Marketing lectures held in English as well as on meeting Osnabrück students and exchanging information with them.

Eliza Hughes is visiting Germany for the first time. "This is an excellent opportunity for me to get to know something about German culture", says the 20 year-old psychology student whilst fellow student, Emma Nolan, is particularly pleased about the combination of intercultural exchange and lectures. "I would like to use the week to find out more about Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. Perhaps I will decide to come back and study here for a full semester."

Carol Hogg and Prof. Dr. Henrik Z?ller organised an excursion to Northern Ireland in February 2015, and the current visit has ensued directly from that trip. The partnership with the University of Ulster is developing along positive lines in other respects, too. "In fact", says Professor Z?ller, "one of our students is currently writing her Bachelor's dissertation in Ulster". So now the Osnabrück lecturers and students are particularly pleased about the opportunity to welcome the group of psychology students and lecturers from Northern Ireland for a reciprocal visit to the Caprivi Campus.
